THE
PINK SINGERS |
|
|
| Brahms
to Broadway - Saturday 17 June - 7.30p.m. |
A harmoniously eclectic evening of music, at Duke’s
Hall, Marylebone Road, London NW1. In association
with Europride, ‘Brahms to Broadway’
is the Pink Singers’ first full concert
for two years – you’ll get to hear
and see them perform in both halves of the show,
you lucky people! Join them for an evening of
music featuring songs from Britten, Brahms, Billy
Joel and Barbara Streisand amongst many others.
The evening will include some solo performances
from choir members, and a little choreography
for good measure. You’d be a semi-quaver
short of a crotchet not to lend the Pink Singers
your support! It is one of the first performances
in the Europride Festival Fortnight, in which
UK gay choirs feature prominently this year. It
also marks the start of the Pink Singers summer
season, with a number of performances planned
in June and July - Tickets: £12 each (£10
concessions). For further details please call

MARLENE
DIETRICH |
|
|
| Icons:
Who? When? Where? |
 Dietrich's
is famous the world over for the strong bisexual
undertones of her films, as well as her affairs
with women. It is widely thought that she was involved
with Mercedes de Acosta and Claudette Colbert, among
others, and it is even rumoured that Greta Garbo
was once her lover. Despite this apparent promiscuous
aspect of her life, Dietrich is said to have not
liked sex.
Her Greatest Achievements include receiving her
only Oscar nomination for 'Morocco' in 1930, and
in 1968 receiving a Tony Award for her stage show.
Perhaps greater than any award is her status as
a glamorous, bisexual film star who worked largely
outside Hollywood. In 1994, after her death, her
memorabilia went to Berlin to become a key part
of the Film Museum in the new Sony Centre, Potsdamer
Platz. More...

DOTWORLDS |
|
|
|
Stand out from the crowd !! |
 Brand
new domain names are now available though dotWORLDS
registrars which bring Internet users greater flexibility
than ever before. If you want to be seen as more
successful, you could try registering "www.extremely.rich".
Want to be more attractive? Try securing "www.good.looking".
Looking to become more famous? Then perhaps "www.pop.star"
is still available.
Brian Retkin, director of dotWORLDS Ltd said, "This
is a very exciting development. We offer choice
in what was an increasingly restricted market. Now,
people have the ability to use domain names for
what they were intended: a memorable, relevant and
fun way for people to find websites and content
on the Internet. We have already seen communities
springing up around some of the free domains that
we offer, such as ".music", and with the
freedom to invent Internet addresses they really
want, people are turning to these dotWORLDS to express
themselves." |
