Jenny Shimizu dropped out of college to take a place in a repair trade school. Afterwards, she joined the Harley-Davidson custom design shop in Los Angeles.

She was spotted by a casting director in a nightclub and offered a part in his video and that was the start of a new chapter in her life.

Actress Ione Skye left her first husband, Adam Horovitz (a member of the Beastie Boys) for Shimizu and  their relationship lasted for at least three years.

In January 2007, Shimizu described an intimate relationship she had with Madonna, claiming that Madonna would fly her to destinations across the world for sexual liaisons. "I was her secret 'booty call' available any time of day or night for secret sex sessions...she's sensational in bed." It was reported that she was going to release a tell-all book that contained intimate details of her sexual affairs with Madonna and Angelina Jolie.
