The Arts Club was founded in 1863 for those connected with
the Arts, Literature or Science. Members over the years
have included writers such as: Dickens, Swinburne, Mark
Twain, Anthony Trollope and the creator of Count Dracula,
musicians such as Joachim, Jules Benedict, Tosti and Charles
Halle and actors such as Sir Henry Irving.
